Located in Quinta Vergara Park in Viña del Mar, Valparaíso Region, the Vergara Palace was declared a Historic Monument in 2008. It was declared a Historical Monument by Decree No. 2479 of July 31, 2008. After the original family home was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake, Blanca Vergara commissioned Ettore and Alejandro Petri to design the new palace, inspired by Venice’s Ca’ d’Oro.
Completed in 1910, the palace became public property in 1941 and was later designated as the Museum and School of Fine Arts. Damaged again by the 2010 earthquake, the palace was fully restored and reopened to the public in December 2021.
